Easy Smoked Salmon Blinis

I love the holidays – the perfect time to pull out the stops and try new, special recipes that dress up your entertaining ritual a bit.  It has always been my mission with Strawberry Banke to showcase seemingly “fancy” food in simple and easy executions for the home cook (it’s all about quality and presentation!).  These Smoked Salmon Blinis are one of the easiest holiday bites – I keep it simple by using good store bought blinis (little savory pancakes), and having them as staples in my fridge during the holiday season.  Before assembling, let the blinis come to room temp and top with a small piece of good quality smoked salmon (wrap around your finger into little rosettes ahead of time and cover with plastic wrap in the fridge for easy assembly right before the party).  Right before serving, finish with a little dollop of creme fraiche and a snipping of chive and you are good to go.  These hors d’oeuvres are an easy crowd pleaser and look like a caterer snuck into your kitchen!

  • Caviar, Creme Fraiche & Chive
  • Boursin & Chive
  • Smoked Salmon & Boursin with Dill
  • Tenderloin & Horseradish Creme
  • Shrimp & Avocado Cream with Cilantro
